The mission of the club is to bring together track & field athletes throughout Buffalo and provide them with an
avenue to compete together. Through the training, practice and competition at the meets, the goal is for these athletes to
push each other and bring out the their best. Competing at the meets during the summer will better our athletes as
well as possibly expose them to college coaches/recruiters. It also offers the chance to compete at the regional and national
level. This club is offered through USA Track & Field (Niagara Association). We have mostly high school athletes, but middle
school athletes are welcome and encouraged.

The club is run by Chris Monaco, who is the track & field coach at Mt St Mary Academy in Kenmore, NY. We have a group
of outstanding local high school coaches who all volunteer their time to improving the kids. All our coaches have committed
their services to working with the athletes and require nothing more of them than to come ready to work and bring a
positive attitude. Some of the coaches who work with the club include Robert Cathcart (Nichols), Joe Evans (Mt St Mary),
Ed Harris (Nardin), and Shannon Brown (Amherst). We also have a few college athletes that help the high school kids out,
especially with the jumps. The only cost involved is for the athletes to pay their own way (meet registration, uniforms, etc...).

Last summer we prepared the athletes for competition in the Junior Olympics and Empire State games. We had them
competing in various meets around WNY including the Rochester Summer Track Series and meets hosted by local
high schools. The plan for this summer is to hit the local meets and also participate in the Junior Olympics once again.

If you want to join the club, get in touch with coach Monaco ASAP:

Thank you and God bless- Chris Monaco
