extensive waiting lists in Montreal’s paediatric health-centres, and
the growing need for developmental therapeutic services for our children
are the primary reasons for which Michèle started BUDS IN BLOOM. In
2011, parents report having to wait beyond four years before receiving
kids' therapy from hospitals, rehabilitation centers or other publicly
run facilities.

BUDS IN BLOOM, non-profit organization, offers families a wide variety of programs tailored for children from birth to 12 years of age, who have autism, and other developmental or academic delays. BUDS IN BLOOM’S unique approach was developed by Occupational Therapist Michèle Hébert. Years of working closely with hundreds of children and families lead her to build one-of-a-kind programs that are custom-built to fit each child’s needs,
NOW. In fact, therapy starts in less than 4 weeks wait time. Blending proven clinical practices with forward thinking, creativity and care, the BUDS IN BLOOM system is unlike any other. Our philosophy is to work with children in their own setting, the most natural place for a child to be. Specially trained BUDS IN BLOOM interventionists work with children at home, school or the daycare – wherever each child naturally spends their time.
