Is an acoustic Folk Club, which meets at The Falcon Hotel, Bude, in The Carriage Room, every other Sunday at 8pm. until about 11pm.
It is a very welcoming and friendly club, where you are encouraged to come along and join in with a song, tune, recitation or two, or just listen, if you so wish. We welcome all ages and all abilities.
We run the club on a round the room basis and try to ensure that everyone who would like to participate gets at least one turn, though this is dependent on numbers present and time available. We welcome singers, musicians, dancers and storytellers.
Entrance to Budefolk is free on 'Come All Ye' evenings, but we do pass round a collecting bucket for your donations, which help to keep the Folk Club going.
We occasionally book a guest artist (about 3 - 4 times a year). Guest nights are usually charged at around £5 per person, with a £1 discount for club members. You can become a member by filling in a form with your details, there is no charge, though you may be asked to help out on occasions.
We also occasionally run workshops to assist in members & friends developing their interest in traditional music, song & dance. The most recent event was an excellent harmony singing workshop with vocalists Craig Morgan Robson. Watch the what's on page to see future planned events.
Do look at our events page to see what Budefolk are getting up to, when we next meet and who we have booked as guests. Don't forget also, to look at the Folk Festival pages for news of the Bude & Stratton Folk Festival 2011 and images / stories from previous years.
Thank-you for stopping by, we look forward to welcoming you at The Folk Club.
