St Austell Brewery has been brewing beer and real ale in Cornwall since 1851 and runs 174 of the most popular pubs in the South West. Bude RFC is located on the North Cornish coast and was founded in 1966. Many players have achieved County honours in different age groups, whilst others have moved to gain Senior County recognition. Bude can boast of two internationals at U16 level: James Button and Phil Vickery. Phil continued his career at Redruth where he obtained Colts and U21 recognition before moving to Gloucester, from where he represented England and the British Lions. Since the introduction of league rugby, the 1stXV has moved from Cornwall League 1 to the Western Counties (West) league where it continues to play. On two occasions, 1995-96 and 2001-02, Bude was awarded the Alan Barbery Cup for the best league performance by a Cornish Club.

Situated in the very heart of Dartmoor National Park at 1400 feet above sea level it is known as the highest brewery in England. Brewing started in 1994 in a converted garage behind the Prince of Wales pub in the centre of Princetown. Remaining family owned to this day, and now brewing from a purpose built brewery on the site of the old Princetown Railway, their brands are becoming more popular than ever. Beers include Jail Ale, Dartmoor and Legend.

The Parkhouse Centre is a multi purpose community building which consists of a large hall (Ivor Potter Hall), which can seat up to 300 people.
