Any Animal, Any Disaster, AnywhereThe Animal Response Teams are public/private/non-profit partnerships intended to provide the volunteers, resources, organization, and financial commitment needed to plan for and respond to disasters of all types and sizes impacting animals in our state and county.The Bucks County Animal Response Team (Bucks CART) is a local extension of the State Animal Response Team for Pennsylvania (PA SART).
We are an animal rescue and response organization comprised of local volunteers. During a disaster in Bucks County, we would rescue and shelter all types of animals. We are run by PASART, the state organization that supervises all the county CARTS. BUCKS CART is a non-profit, state-run organization, available to respond to all types of disasters in Bucks County affecting animals. Floods, hurricanes, and blizzards are just a few examples of the kinds of incidents we may be called upon to respond to. When Disaster Strikes, Who Will Take Care of Them? Open Positions: PR director Event Coordinator (reports to PR Director; manages overall schedule and all tabling events activities) Volunteer Manager (reports to PR Director; volunteer personal info management; internal communications to new and existing volunteers) Transport (manages trailers; plans for animal transport; works closely with Supplies person) Rescue Coordinator (pre-plans for scenarios in our community; trains for hands-on animal handling) Large Animal Rescue Coordinator (report to Rescue Coordinator; skills in large animal experience; pre-plans locations to house large animals) Small Animal Rescue Coordinator (reports to Rescue Coordinator; skills in animal handling; pre-plans to house/board small animals) Shelter Operations (plans for sheltering locations; obtains agreements with third party sites; pre-plans with Rescue Coordinators) Currently Staffed Positions: Veterinarian: Robin Goldblum Supplies/Logistics: Arlene Colligan SEPA Regional Task Force: Michelle Grundahl Training scheduling: Michelle Grundahl Communications: Mike Patton Co-Coordinators: Arlene Colligan and Sarah Baker Safety Officer: Dave Mulzet Steering Committee: Ceil Dixon, Robin Goldblum, Michelle Grundahl, Arlene Colligan Is Your Pet MicroChipped???
