Important Notice - "Ongoing Music Adapter Pro" is no longer available on the market.10/4/09 - I have taken the application down from the market due to reports of resuming problems on the latest Android 1.6 ROM which is the recent upgrade being rolled out. After doing some preliminary investigation, it seems to be a problem that also affects the standard Music application. While this means this is not a fault of "Ongoing Music Adapter Pro", I believe it would be unfair for me to be advertising the ability to resume the streams when it is broken in 1.6. As a regular user of this application daily, I am disappointed myself, and I'll probably be sticking to my older 1.5 ROM for now... Thank you to those who reported the problems early! http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=4124

ChangesVersion 1.5.0 - 6/15/09
- Fixed a problem where a file with encoded spaces could not be opened.
Version 1.4.0- Remove
play notification icon by resetting the player on playback completion.
This should also permit additional resources to be reclaimed.
Version 1.3.0- Fixed issue where resuming currently playing file would start over if it had never been paused.
- Fixed how the retry button would not resume at the proper position of the currently playing file.
- Various
internal clean up to avoid creating useless objects and hanging onto
long living references. Also added some logging statements to help find
memory leaks, but there are no suspected issues of memory leaks at this
point though.
Version 1.2.0- Added a "Retry" convenience button to attempt to open the link again.
- Clicking on a finished link starts playback from the beginning again.
- Various internal clean up of code to improve stability.
Version 1.1.0
- Choosing
a link from the list will reset the player and resume from the
interrupted position EVEN if it is the current playback. See the FAQ's
second question for more details.
- Streamlined the progress bar not to display confusing secondary progress.

Frequently Asked Questions- What is difference between the Lite and the Pro version?
Please
watch the YouTube Howto above to see the exact difference between the
Lite and Pro version. The ONLY difference is that in the Pro version
allows you to pause and resume playback at a later time. As you click
on MP3 links, the Pro version keeps track of what you have opened. When
you pause playback, the Pro version saves your position in the MP3, so
that you can resume it later by clicking on the "Ongoing Music Adapter
Pro" application from your Home screen and then selecting the MP3 link
from the list. This is the only additional feature in the Pro version!
- Will playback be resumed if WIFI/3G/Edge is lost then regained later?
No,
the adapter does not provide an automatic resume capability, but it
does permit you to reconnect and resume the current playback.
When
connectivity is lost, the Android Music player will continue playing
until it has exhausted its buffer, and then it will merely stop
playing. You will still see the notification play icon in the upper
left, but no music will be playing and the progress bar will not move.
This is because it still thinks it is playing, but it is not getting
any more data to play. Once you have regained connectivity choose the
stream you were playing from the adapter's list, and it will reset the
player and resume playing at whatever position the Android Music player
got stuck. This is a manual solution that should relieve some of the
frustration of the prior solution of choosing a different stream to
play and then again choosing the prior stream to get the player to
unjam itself.
