PROJECT HAITI

Dear Parents,

The fourth grade classes are holding a collection for Project Haiti.  Ms. Shedd's class has built this website to share information on how and why we are doing this project, what we have learned about Haiti, and other important information.  With the exception of this cover letter, all work on this website is the work of our 4th grade students; the students came up with the questions, researched and typed up their responses, created the pages, uploaded the images and created the links to help you move around the website.  Please check out the links at left to learn more about what we are doing.

This project is to help those who are still trying to recover from the devastating earthquake that occurred there last month.  This collection will take place until February 19, 2010.  There will be boxes located in the front lobby and in each fourth grade classroom.  If you do have items that do not make it to school before February 19th, please call Nancy Vaillancourt at 476-3262.  She can arrange to collect until Friday, February 26th

Items the students are collecting:

Washcloths

Hand Towels

Toothpaste

Nail Clippers

Please place the above items in a one gallon zip lock baggie.

Other items needed:

Diapers

Baby Dry Rice Cereal

Baby Formula

T-Shirts and Shorts

Thank you very much for any donation you can make, it will provide some relief to those in need.

Sincerely,

Ms. Bowers, Mrs. Cooley, Ms. Martel, Ms. Shedd and Mrs. Smith
