NEW Washington State Educational Technology Standards 2008

posted ‎‎Dec 4, 2008 2:30 PM‎‎ by Bruce Frank

It is our pleasure to direct you to  http://www.k12.wa.us/EdTech/techstandards.aspx where you will find the recently approved Washington State Educational Technology Standards.  The complete document is where you will find the acknowledgement pages which includes your name and school district. There is also four separate grade span documents for ease of use in the classroom.

You will find just two Standards  - Integration and Digital Citizenship. At this time the Core Subject codes R = Reading, M = Math etc. are not linked but in the next year they will be connected to the various resources that you identified during the two days that you participated in the Integration Focus Groups. In the mean time you can find just the names of the resources and the URLs at    http://www.k12.wa.us/EdTech/TechResources.htm . We are still in the process of loading them so if your subject area is missing check back again real soon for updates.

You've heard of the 3Rs, but what about the 5Cs such as critical thinking, creative problem solving, communications, collaboration and cross-cultural relationship building?   Click here... http://www.eschoolnews.com/emails/eSN/1204ResourceCenter.htm
