Coach Jeannette Fisher (Head Coach - 13 Blue):
Coach Jeannette Fisher began her volleyball career when a Junior in High School. As captain of the 1982 AA State Championship team for Woodlawn High School, Baltimore County, Maryland Coach Fisher was selected to the All State and All - Metro team. Her club career began in the Chesapeake Region as a member of the Baltimore Juniors. After High School, Jeannette was a member of the George Mason University team. After suffering a shoulder injury she chose to concentrate on academics. However, her competitive nature and the love of the game brought her back. She played on a USVBA Team (now USVA) for Reston Volleyball. In addition, she played on a co-ed team and a Fairfax County adult league.
Following a several year break from the game to raise her five children, Jeannette returned to the sport. Now in her 4th season as a youth league coach, Coach Fisher is concentrating on teaching the game.
In her spare time, Coach Fisher enjoys singing with the Fairfax Choral Society and her Church Choir. And, from time to time, she can be found playing a good game of "pepper" with her children.
Coach John Gelinne (Head Coach - 14 Blue): Coach John Gelinne started playing volleyball when he was in high school.
He was selected as the starting setter for the team representing Westchester County in the first-ever Empire State Games in the State of New York.
After graduating from High School, Coach Gelinne attended the US Naval Academy where he was the starting setter for the Division I Midshipman.
After commissioning in the US Navy, John continued to play volleyball at various levels, career permitting, to include AA volleyball in California, where he played for a prominent Beach Club
John Gelinne began his coaching career in 2001, when he was selected to coach the Woodson High School JV team. During that year, the JV Team was undefeated. Balancing coaching with his naval career, John returned back to Lake Braddock High school in 2004, where he coached at both the JV and Varsity levels. In addition, he coached the 16¹s and 17¹s age groups in the Northern Virginia Volleyball Club.
John has recently returned again from sea duty and is anxious to begin coaching for BRYC.
Coach Bryan Davis (Co-Coach - 15 Blue): Coach Bryan Davis has 20 years of volleyball experience as a player and is starting on his third year of coaching. In fall of 2007, Coach Davis was the varsity assistant coach at West Springfield High School and helped coach the team to a Patriot District championship that year. In 2008, he was selected as the Head Junior Varsity Coach at West Springfield and continued working with the varsity team as a varsity assistant coach. Coach Davis plans to continue building the BRYC program as a 15U coach this club season by teaching two fundamental qualities outlined in his coaching philosophy, Teamwork and Accountability.
Bryan's playing experience goes back to the age of 10, when he learned to pass and hit a volleyball in the backyard with his older brother. He started playing competitively when he joined his middle school team in the 6th grade. Coach Davis' had a 1-year JV and 3-year varsity career in high school and played for 3 years at Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania before a broken ankle ended his collegiate career early in his senior year.
Bryan looks forward to passing on his experience and passion for volleyball to young players with a strong interest in the game. Coach Davis lives in Burke with his wife and 2 beagles.

Coach Mark Thompson (Head Coach - 16 Blue): Coach Mark Thompson has 25+ years of volleyball experience as a player and coach. Coach Thompson started his volleyball career by representing Central New York in the Scholastic Division of the Empire State Games in 1982. He then went to Cortland State where he played Football, Track & Field and Volleyball.
After graduating from Cortland State, Coach Thompson played RS Hitter on a men’s Club Team in Bronxville, NY before moving to the Mid Atlantic area in 1993. After playing a couple of years on a men’s USAV Club Team in Northern VA, Coach Thompson was introduced to Doubles Volleyball where he has played in many MAV and Columbia Double tournaments over the years.
In 2002, Coach Thompson started his coaching career coaching his daughter for BRYC. Wanting to help volleyball grow in Fairfax County, Coach Thompson volunteered to become Commissioner of BRYC Volleyball. In late 2007 Coach Thompson, along with Coach Davis, expanded BRYC into Club volleyball. He is looking forward to many more successful volleyball seasons with BRYC.
Coach Bob Montgomery (Assistant Coach - 16 Blue): Coach Bob Montgomery has been coaching youth sports in Fairfax County for over ten years. He has coached girl’s teams at various age and skill levels in soccer, basketball, and volleyball. He has obtained a "D" level coaching license from the US Soccer Federation, and is IMPACT certified by USA Volleyball. The majority of Coach Montgomery’s volleyball coaching experience has been with the BRYC recreation league. He was a head coach for seven seasons in the High School division, and coached one season in the Middle School division. Coach Montgomery’s High School division teams were the league champions in 2005, 2006, and 2007. He also coached BRYC All-Star teams in the annual countywide All-Star tournament, and in 2006 and 2007 he conducted preseason volleyball clinics for BRYC players. During the 2008 Club Volleyball season Coach Montgomery was the assistant coach for a U15 Metro American Volleyball Club team. In June 2008, as a fundraiser for the Annandale HS volleyball program, he was one of five coaches conducting a week long volleyball camp for over fifty Middle School girls.
Coach Montgomery served as the Lead Statistician for the Annandale HS varsity volleyball team for the 2002, 2003, and 2004 seasons. This past 2008 season, he assisted the Annandale HS varsity coaches by providing them with statistical data for every practice and match, and he also performed the duties of assistant varsity coach at a preseason multi-day tournament.
Coach Montgomery is married with two daughters and he is currently employed as an accountant with the Federal government.
Coach Suzanne Klein (Head Coach - 16 Gold): Coach Suzanne Klein is finishing her second year coaching at Lake Braddock Secondary School. She has been the Head Coach for both Freshmen and Junior Varsity. Last year, she also coached a U15’s Club team with FVC. Previously, she was the Head Coach for BRYC’s Middle School House and Travel teams. She is FCPS/NFCEP and IMPACT certified.
Coach Klein has been coaching youth sports for 12 years. She was awarded the Fairfax County Champion of Character Award in 2005 and was a Positive Coaching Alliance’s National Double-Goal Coach Award Finalist in 2006.
Her playing career began in high school in New Jersey where she was an All Conference Varsity player and participant in the Garden State Games. In her college career, she was a 4 year Varsity starter and captain as well as a 2 year Tournament MVP at Swarthmore College, PA. She looks forward to sharing her passion for volleyball and to helping the players achieve their goals.
