February 2012 We would like to thank all of you who supported us through your prayers and donations to repair our Boiler Heating System after it was damaged in September. We were able to raise enough financial support to pay for the costs associated with the repair of our boiler and powerhouse. We also experienced the grace of God at work through people volunteering their time. Your encouragement and kindness are appreciated by the students, staff and all those who come to St. Therese Institute of Faith & Mission. We give thanks to God for providing through your generosity, for keeping the winter weather tolerable as we used a small backup boiler for the past 3 months, and for the continued recovery of John Lyttle. We are currently finalizing the installation of the large repaired boiler and are aiming to have it up and running this week. Thank you and God bless! January 2012 A very sincere and heartfelt thank you to Rosaline Hafner on behalf of the community and the Catholic Women’s League, for the many years of service in organizing and serving funeral lunches. Rosaline is retiring from this job and will be really missed in this capacity, which is a very large responsibility for any one person to have handled for so many years. Thank you very much Rosaline. November 2011 The staff and students of St. Therese would like to wish the community of Bruno many Christmas blessings this season. Thank you to all for your kindness and support during this past year. We would like to celebrate this season with you on the feast day of St. Nicholas, December 6th. Please come by at 7pm for refreshments, entertainment for all ages and a visit from St. Nicholas to tell his heartwarming story. Everyone is welcome! Also a big thank you to everyone who has lent a hand in fixing up our boiler house and contributing toward the boiler fund to repair our heating system. 40% of our target has been raised, the smaller spare boiler is up and running, and the main boiler is scheduled to be repaired and returned to us within a month. Any help getting the large main boiler back into the building would be much appreciated! Thank you for your continued prayers and encouragement. From welding lighting bars, to installing low-flush toilets, to contacting suppliers, to contributing towards our sound equipment budget, to clearing the snow from our parking lot, to taking tickets & operating book/CD tables, to washing dishes & helping clean up, to coming out and participating in the day (and if we forgot to mention something, many thanks to you too!!)... Without your generosity and prayers, we could not have made this event happen! The Playschool class would like to say Thank You to Mr. Bodnarchuk for the tour of the fire truck and fire hall. It was really neat to see all the equipment that the firemen use while fighting a fire, he also showed us up close what a fireman looks like dressed up in his suit. For a special treat he put the siren on and let us pretend to shoot the hose, and we all even got to sit inside the fire truck and pretend to be a fireman. Comments like – “I was going to send 1 or 2 boxes but had enough items to pack one extra box.” Praise God. What a blessing these gifts will be to each child who receives them.
