The rain has stopped for awhile and the heat has come and the grass flowers and shrubs are all looking great. This August 16th Gilbert and I will be celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. That’s a long time! I hope everyone has very enjoyable and safe summer.

    The town would like to give a big thank you to everyone who is working very hard at getting there yards cleaned up it is very much appreciate. The town may not be that big but having it clean and neat for ourselves and when visitors come over the summer says a lot for the people that live here. Summer is here and people will be vacationing all over so enjoy your summer drive carefully and come home safe and sound.

    Summer is finally coming and it is nice to see the sun shining, everyone is trying to seed, where it is not flooded, good luck. The men did a great job so when it thawed the roads dried off really well we have a few bad places and they will be getting fixed soon. Thanks to everyone for cleaning up your yards so when visitors come our town looks clean and neat.. June is hear and time to remember all the hard working fathers. Happy Fathers Day.

    We hope to see some nice warm sun soon so things start to dry up and turn green. I mentioned before that May is census month and how important it is for each household to fill out the questionnaire when you receive it in the mail. The census is what helps us receive money from the government because it is based on the amount of population you have, the more people the more we get for roads, school, policing, housing needs, family needs, and other community projects. Thanks in advance for help in this very important issue. May is the month we think of our mothers and remember all the things they did for us. Happy Mothers Day.

    This year it looks like spring could be a little later and maybe that is better if it goes slowly with all the snow as far as the water goes. The town men are working hard to try and prepare for the spring run off by banking up the snow so the water can flow freely when it does decide to start melting. Hopefully it will go well for all of us. Easter is coming a little bit later this year on behalf of the staff council and myself we would like to wish you all a very Happy Easter!

    Census is coming in May 2011 when it is time for all of us to stand up and be counted.  Census is a very important part of our community for money from the government because what ever we can get from them we do not have to ask you for in taxes.  The count is what they go for the larger the population  the more money you receive.  March is time for the wearing of the green on March 17th St. Patrick's Day.

    Last year was a very trying year in 2010 for everyone. It was very hard to get our road work and street repairs done on which we had planned. Every time we nicely got started, it started to rain and that happened with so many things but we are still better off than a lot of other places; maybe this summer will work out better for everyone. Time to think of our loved ones and do something special for them, after all, it will be Valentines Day.  Happy Valentines Day to all and to everyone traveling have a safe and enjoyable trip.

    I am sure by now you have heard that Juaneta will be leaving us to move up to a better position; instead of being the administrators assistant she will be the administrator for the Village of Meacham.  We wish her all the best and want to thank her for all her hard work she did in the past six years with us.  On behalf of the staff council and myself we would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year.

    Our winter has set in and is here to stay. Be careful walking because of the ice under the fresh snow. The busy time is coming with family and friends coming home for the holidays and others leaving. Drive careful in all your holiday travels.     The weather has really changed the weather we should have got this summer we are getting now, Thank goodness for that so at least the crops are getting off good or bad. I would like to thank Tyler for his great opening and the lovely job he has done on our new art building and it is great to have a artist in residence for our community. November is here and time for us to remember Nov. 11th and all the lives that we lost in wars trying to keep us safe. LEST WE FORGET.

    Summer is gone but it does not seem like had one with all the rain and cloud. This year has made it very difficult for our men to get all the summer work done that they had planed because every time they got a good start it started to rain but one thing we cannot do is control the weather even if it would be nice sometimes. October is coming and time be thankful for everything we do have our family friends our health. We would like to wish you all a Very Happy Thanksgiving

    The Town would like to wish Wilfred and Lillian a very happy retirement and thank him for all his hard work and knowledge of mechanics, it sure was a great help to us. On Sunday September 12th is grandparents day, so remember to do something special for them and just let them know you care. Fall is fast approaching and time to check our lots over for garbage so that the rodents have not got a place to live for the winter months ahead. Thanks it helps keep our town neat and clean for visitors to come and visit.

    Our Summer is going and I do not feel like we have any yet. We sure have not had much warm weather to enjoy. Hopefully August will bring us some nice warm sunshine. So we can all enjoy what is left and our men can get the work done what they had planned to do but we needed a little less rain and a more sunshine. One thing we cannot do is control the weather so enjoy what is left.

    July will soon be here and hopefully a little less rain and more sunshine to enjoy our summer because it always seems so short any way. Do remember our July 1st celebrations and the Cherry Festival, which make our town very busy with bringing in people from all over the province. So lets all check our property and make our yards look presentable because first impressions mean a lot. Have a great summer.

    The weather has finally warmed up so everyone can start thinking about going out and start doing yard work gardening flowers and enjoying the sunshine.   Hopefully we can soon do something about the dust.  June is also a special month a month we remember all the fathers and grandfathers on father's day June 20th.  Happy Father's Day.

    It looks like we are going to have a very nice spring but now tht the snow is gone all the things were hidden are now showing up.  It is time for us all to get out and pick up papers, twigs, and dog whatever.  Get our yards looking great before all the weddings and whatever brings visitors into our community so we can all be proud to have visitors come from other places. Please if you have garbage from over the winter haul it out to the dump because it just attracts rats, mice and dogs.  Thanks to all of you for doing this.  The month of May is here and time to think of our mothers, sometimes I think we forget what our mothers have done for us.  Remember mom and grandma on their special day May 9th  Happy Mother's Day.
