A house painter and decorator is a tradesman responsible for the painting and decorating of buildings, and is also known as a decorator or house painter.

Trompe-l`oeil Nativity

Years ago, I was fascinated by a small terracotta `bozzetto` in the `Barockmuseum`in Salzburg. It was created by the italian baroque sculptor Antonio Raggi, probably as a design for a never completed ,bigger version, then to be executed in marble. The subject is the adoration of the shepherds - or simpler the nativity. I always thought , it would be a charming idea and a superior task to convert this into an illusionistic grisaille painting. These are my plans for the next weeks until christmas! Shown here is the small first scetch with the prepared canvas for the end version in the background.

Art Scene
