Brown Science Prep, or BSP, is a science enrichment program run at Brown University by Brown undergraduate mentors for Providence high school students. What do we do? 1. Our mission is to enrich the science education of our students through small group teaching, exciting demonstrations and fun field trips. Our lessons are based on what our students want to learn.
2. We also aim to show our students what a college campus is like.
Why should I join BSP? Exciting experiments Great extra science help Fun field trips Exposure to college Meet other students interested in college Friendly and caring mentors Where do we meet? We meet on the Brown campus at the Barus and Holley engineering building.
When do we meet? BSP meets every Saturday from September 29 to December 15. We meet from 10AM to 1PM. Breakfast is provided! Fill out a quick application that you can get from your science teacher or here on our website. Bring your application and parent waiver form to the first BSP Saturday meeting.
How do I get there? If you don’t have a bus pass we will provide Riptix to and from BSP for you. Click here for directions.
