7th GRADE
 
7th Grade Language Arts
Monday: 1 page draft writing - non fiction
Tuesday: 1 page draft writing
Wednesday: 1 page draft writing 
 
 
7th Grade Math
The students will continue to explore Patterns using tables, graphs and rules/equations.
Homework for the week:
Monday: Students will revise their tests (if they want to) to receive half credit for corrected test items.
Revision is due on Thursday during class or after school.
Cindy will be available for questions on Thursday from 2:45PM to 3:25PM. All students will need written permission from their parent/guardian with an emergency phone number to stay.
Students must follow the revision guidelines attached to the test.
Tuesday: Students will be given the "Pattern" packet to complete by Friday. Each page will correspond with classwork on Mon, Tues, Wed and Thurs.
Grade Sheets will passed out for students to double check their grades.
Friday: Students will be given their first unit book.  "How many jumping jacks can you do in 1 minute, 2 minutes, or 3 minutes?????"
 

7th Grade Science:

If you are going to camp, I need your signed forms by September 26th so I can give a count to the camp director!  Please pay by October 1st.  Also, parents, please let me know if you can come with us.  I need dads!  Thanks so much!

 

Mon.: 

3rd period - Intro to the periodic table and identifying elements in a substance;

h.w. - read pages 3-8 and answer the questions on page 8 (on loose leaf paper).

4th period - Identifying elements in a substance;

h.w. - is the same as the above for third period.

Both classes:  please bring in product labels for the lesson tomorrow.  Paste or tape them on notebook paper with your name for credit!

Tues.:  Elements in the World;

h.w. - read pages 9-13 and answer the questions on page 13 (on loose leaf paper).

Wed.:  Solutions;

h.w. - read pages 49-53 and answer the questions on page 53.  This is due on Friday.

 

 

Social Studies:

Social Studies Grades are posted on the board outside my room.  Students have a four digit number for their password.  These are current grades, not the report card grades.
 
7th Grade has a test on Wednesday, 10/1 over Chapter 3.
 
Monday:

Tuesday: chapter 3-3 Summarian Achievement pg. 65 - 69
Wednesday:
Thursday:
chapter 3-4 Later Peoples of the Fertile Crescent pg. 72 - 77
Friday:
Plan for a test on Wednesday!

8th Grade Language Arts
Monday: read chapter 1 in the Language Network
8th grade revised Pam Willison Letter due Wednesday.
Mentor letter for 7th grade is due Friday.  
 
8th Grade Math
