Welcome to the Brown Elementary PSG website. As a parent of a Brown Elementary student, you are a memeber of the PSG (Parent Staff Group). We hope this website will keep you informed about what is happening within our PSG as well as how you can become more involved with Brown Elementary. If you can't find what you are looking for, please feel free to contact us. We are always looking for volunteers and help with many of our school wide committees.
Click here for Family Dinner Night form. May 7th, 2012 Please contact Faith Hoskins (fhoskins@indy.rr.com) if you have any trouble printing these order forms. The PSG was able to raise $30,554.13 so far this year! These funds were given back to Brown in the following ways. Each classroom will have an Elmo document reader installed. The cameras can be used in a variety of capacities, but some include: displaying works of art so students can see in detail the processes used. They are able to look for details in a picture they are using for writing prompt and read along with a book the teacher has on the camera.Author Herman Parish gave a presentation to our students about the journey of Amelia Bedelia. The PSG is going to sponsor the kindergarten graduation and purchase caps for the students. We won $5000 from Kleenex! These funds were used to cover the cost of all field trips this year. The rest will be used to help with field trips next year. In addition, we have also been able to provide the following: $1200 donation to the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital; Spring and Fall supply reimbursement for teachers ($150/teacher); Grants to purchase learning tools for the classroom ($100/teacher); Brown t-shirts for all students; 5th grade party; senior scholarships; track and field day sponsorship; teacher appreciation events and red ribbon week!
