When I Am Sane

When I Am Sane

This is one of my favorites. It also could use a better title. It has a million instruments, so properly mixing it has been a big challenge for me. At the same time, it feels the the chorus is a little empty sounding after the violins fade out. Kevin wants to add piano, which I think should be really good for the song. It's about being away from someone and a hope for reunion.

If you are the one I've waited for you're too far
If you knew how much time I've waited for someone like you
If you cried I would hear I would hurt on the inside
But if you fall, where am I? how can I come to your call?

Do you think I'm that far away while you sleep?
Is your time passing by in a rhythm like mine?
Do you know how much I agonize when I go?
Realize: I'm the one in reality left behind

You are gone
Keep my memory sound
You are all
That can bring me around

It's never too late to change
Come back to me when I am sane
It's never too late to change
Please come back when I am sane

When will you understand that I am waiting anew?
Could you find a little time for the sake of my mind?
In your day, do you find an artifact of my stay?
When I'm gone, do you find that you do not quite belong?
