Stress Relievers:
 
  • Meditate - Good for your body and spirit, focus on breathing, a word or a prayer
  • Positive Psychology - focus on the joys and happiness in your life, don't dwell on negative
  • Attitude of Gratitude - Try writing down five things you are grateful for everyday for 3 weeks, it can change your perspective
  • Forgiveness - being stuck on unforgiving or angry feelings wears you down; focus on freeing your own emotions more on what the other person should or should not  be doing
  • 75% of American say they have prayed about their or someone else's health, whatever your higher power is go there.
 
 
Eating Disorders
 
Children as young as 7 or 8 are being diagnosed.   Although it does not commonly get disagnosed until mid-late teens.  Any time you notice a change in a student's appearance or behavior discuss with the counselor.  It may be nothing, then again you never know.
