What does this Website Provide?
Tolerance.org was founded by the Southern Poverty Law Center and it advocates multicultural education. Through “tolerance” of diversity, Tolerance.org examines the successful ways to educate students to promote positive behaviors and healthy relationships. This website provides information for teachers, parents, teens and kids on ways to fight injustice in the global community. For teachers specifically, there are classroom activities, kits and handbooks that illustrate effective and applicable classroom strategies to enhance tolerance of diversity. For parents, there are helpful hints and recommended activities for children of all ages. Teens can use this website to share experiences and build an online activist group to combat injustice. Through 'Planet Tolerance', kids can learn about important key players in society from various diverse backgrounds.
