Where will you have your baby?

The Bristol Home Birth Group welcomes women and their partners who are considering a home birth.
For information on the dates of the meetings, the topics covered and the location, please follow the sidebar links.
The group is facilitated by women who themselves have had experience of a home birth together with midwives and birth educators.

We offer an opportunity to
  • Get information on home birth
  • Meet parents who have had babies at home
  • Meet midwives with experience of home birth
  • Find out if having a baby at home is right for you
Are you aware that having a baby at home*
  • Is as safe as hospital for the majority of women?
  • Halves the need for assisted deliveries or a caesarean?
  • Is described by mothers as less painful than hospital birth?
  • Is a satisfying and enriching experience for both the mother and her birth partner?
