Barks and Postcards: Steve, Mary and Mae have found a spot between Metcalf and Bailey
off Coyote Creek where Mary has
heard some dog barks that could be a Shiba. The area is remote, marshy and difficult to access
but we have at least one camera in a very good spot. To speed things
up, Donna Holsten, Finding Paws,
suggested we up the ante by leaving some dry dog food there, which we
did late this week. So keep those positive
thoughts and prayers going that we'll get a pic of her soon and be able
to set the new trap. Also, with this weather change, Bella may decide
independence isn't all that fun and approach someone, s tarting the
process to get her home. Remember she has a microchip. Shiba's are
such runners and hard to catch - although I doubt anyone has her, you
just never know. To this end, we are sending out postcards w/her
picture to vets and clinics in a 100 mile radius of our zip code. We are
asking them if they have seen a new Black w/Tan Shiba in their practice
since 4/11 to check for a microchip. Someone could not even know she
is missing miles away and take her to the vet and end up finding her
owner. We are trying to cover all bases.
That's it for now. Our hope and faith is still very strong that
Bella will return home when the time is right and everything happens
for a reason. Thanks again, everyone, for caring and contnuing to help
in bringing Bella home safely. We really appreciate all of your
support.
