From:  Donna Holsten of Finding Paws

Donna Holsten of Finding Paws (the Pet Detective who has been helping validate/refute the Bella sightings) is looking for volunteers to help other owners and their pets.  Up until now, it's just been Donna of Finding Paws doing this work by herself, and now she's ready to expand and make more services available to more people.  The type of effort all of the Bella volunteers have put in and are still putting in have made it so very clear that this sort of multi-person assistance is needed to so many people with lost animals.  Donna wants to collect a group of folks from all over the Bay Area, to help owners with everything from door-to-door canvassing, flyer and poster production and placement, shelter checks, to capture/recovery.  The ultimate goal is that every single person in the Bay Area who has a missing animal will get some sort of assistance, in an affordable (or free!) way.  Nobody should be alone in the search for their lost animal!

There will be a Volunteer Orientation in Berkeley, on Saturday August 23, at 2pm.  Please email Donna if you would like to come, and she'll give you the exact location.
