I am a software engineer and researcher for autonomous vehicles and robotics, with 13 years of global experience, including Zoox (a Silicon Valley unicorn in autonomous vehicles) and universities such as Stanford, the MIT and Singapore. PhD in robotics. Fluent in English and French.

I am currently working at Zoox, a Silicon Valley unicorn in autonomous vehicles, acquired by Amazon in 2020. I am one of the first employees. Initially I was doing a little bit of everything, and a lot of the perception system. Quickly though I took the lead on the localization stack, which I've been spearheading since then. I developed a lidar based localizer which estimates the robot's position on the map with centimeter accuracy. I also developed an optimizer based pose solver which does the sensor fusion between the lidar localizer, the vehicle's velocity, and the onboard IMU. This increases the overall reliability of the system to errors such as world changes (vegetation growth, construction, etc...) or wheel slips. Finally, I am now hardening the critical part of the localization stack to deploy it on ASIL-B and D hardware for maximum safety and reliability.
