BRF Compendium is proud to present the new BRF Archiver, a program to allow the user to archive all the posts from a given thread, or only the posts of certain authors within the thread. This program has been written to work on Windows, Mac OSX, Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD and other UNIX-like operating systems. The program was written in the Python programming language. The current version of this program is 0.5.0 (Gabbar Singh) released on Feb 25th 2010. This release adds support for archiving from behind a proxy server. Several GUI improvements were also made, as detailed in the README.txt file that comes with the code. Credits for the improvements made in this release go out to raghz, who also kindly volunteered to test the changes and made most of the suggestions that went into this release. To install, click on the Attachments section below and download the ZIP file. Then unzip it to your computer and look at README.txt for further instructions (Windows users may wish to use Wordpad instead of Notepad to read README.txt). You may need to install the Python runtime for some operating systems (details in the README.txt file) before you can run the code. The code is provided AS-IS with no warranties. The terms and conditions for this package are in the file LICENSE.txt, which is included in the ZIP file and you should read that as well, before using the code.
