Welcome to the online home of Madison, Wisconsin's oldest neighborhood association!
January Quarterly MeetingCome join us January 25th, 6:30 p.m. at the Warner Park Community Recreation Center for the neighborhood association's quarterly meeting. Learn about upcoming neighborhood events!
Upcoming Brentwood Events: - We are celebrating our 4th annual holiday dinner and meaningful activity benefitting Brentwood youth. The dinner will be held on Thursday, December 8th, 6:00-8:00 p.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church. A wonderful buffet meal will be provided free of charge. We will then wrap presents to be given to neighborhood youth for Christmas. We will again be joined by the Brentwood Thursday Family Fun Night families. All Brentwood residents, including children, are welcome to this non-denominational event. This has been a very popular function. Please plan to attend, enjoy a great meal, meet and great your neighbors and friends, and participate in a worthwhile neighborhood service project.
Brentwood Community Coalition
- Thursday Nights are family fun nights! Come to St. Paul's Lutheran Church at 6pm for food and fun. This is a group effort between the Brentwood Village Association, and mainly Sherman and Emerson schools to provide a way for neighbors and friends to get to know each other, discuss neighborhood concerns, and, of course, have fun.
- The evenings start with a community meal followed by a variety of activities that have included nature outings in the park with UW Wildlife Ecology students, a rousing St. Patrick’s Day introduction to violin and Irish Music, an inter- generational Hobby Night with members of North/Eastside Senior Coalition, family game nights and family craft projects, kickball and soccer games and many more fun activities.
- The Coalition has also brought in guests to discuss such issues as
tenants’ rights, health/nutrition and safety, registration of sex
offenders in the neighborhood and more. Many neighborhood parents met
each other for the first time and shared stories and ideas which have
helped to build a growing sense of community. Many kids have made new
friends and had fun with others in a larger group setting.
What began as a few informal discussions a couple years ago has moved
into effective action with over thirty events being held over the last
year. If you would like to attend the Thursday events, contact David Meyer at 249-3665 or e-mail dma@chorus.com
And, while many long volunteer hours have been put in to get this
worthy project underway, some funding is needed to sustain and grow it.
The Brentwood Community Coalition could use your support. If possible,
please send a tax deductible donation to David Meyer, 2302 Calypso

Inc.; make sure to put Brentwood Community Coalition in the memo line.
