Does God Care About the Earth? Connecting Religion, Spirituality, and Ecology
By Carol Meyer and RoseTherese Huelsman

The vast majority of people are believers, but often make no connection between their faith and caring for the Earth. Yet, religion and spirituality can be powerful forces in the great work of Earth care, giving vision and hope to sustain us for the long haul.

Come and explore these correlations, as you gain new perspectives and practical ideas on:

  • The latest theological views of creation and the human and divine roles in it
  • Biblical themes that support and mandate caring for God’s Earth
  • How religion and science can work in partnership for Earth's welfare
  • What faith-based ecology offers the environmental movement
  • Ways in which creation spirituality can enhance activism for the Earth

Will include input, a brief film (“The Awakening Universe”), lively discussion, personal reflection, and action steps to help you integrate your spirituality with Earth care.
