SPECIFIC PRAYER REQUESTS (thanks in advance for lifting us up before the King!)

“The Lord our God is near us whenever we pray to Him.” (Deuteronomy 4:7)

  1. For the challenges ahead!  Pray for the Lord to raise up 3 men for leadership training;  that he will give the men in Afogados a sense of ownership and confidence to teach and preach;  that the Lord will give me a sense of discernment to know when to step in and when to get out of the way; that He will empower us to accomplish all that He desires (we want His plans, not ours!).

  1. Spiritual – Pray for God to refresh us spiritually and to open the eyes of our heart that we may know Him better.  Pray too for self-discipline and balance: to keep God, family, and ministry balanced!

  1. Our health – bless and protect our health; complete physical wholeness.

  1. Portuguese – Ask God to help loosen Chris’ tongue to speak and teach Portuguese clearly

  1. Evangelism Groups – pray God will give the church in Afogados a spirit of evangelism and desire to reach the lost in their communities; raise up new evangelism groups; to give people a sense of confidence that they can teach and reach their community; Pray God will lead us to TRUTHSEEKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. Protection over our health, marriage, relationships, and all spiritual attacks from the evil one.  Give us a spirit of perseverance!!!!!

  1. God will continue to provide all we need financially; thanksgiving for providing over half of what we need; but, we are still needing new supporters for personal and work fund.  We have requests for one time donations in over six different states;  Pray for God to move their hearts to be interested in supporting the work in Recife.

  1. Pray for our family that God will make us and our marriage whole (spiritually, mentally, physically, and emotionally); for greater love, patience, and self-control over our emotions towards each other.  Help us to transition and adjust back to the work here in Recife.

We love you!  Thanks!   Now, let’s get to work!

Keep the faith, Chris, Teresa, and Sara
