Up in Ankeny, Iowa with a snow man (my brother in Christ, Royce Hammit told me when I got off the plane that they were having a "warm spell" and it was 20 degrees! It had been -5 degrees the week before! Even though it was cold outside, I found an incredibly warm fellowship of Christians at the church! Thanks to our new friends and monthly supporters at the Ankeny church of Christ!
There is nothing like sitting down to a Thanksgiving meal with family, especially Teresa's in Goodlettsville, TN! Turkey, dressing, green beans, sweet potatoes.....mouth is watering now! Oh, and the desserts! Is there anyway you all can ship Razzleberry pie to Brazil?
Sara with her Nana and Papa in early Decembergoing out doorknocking and inviting people to the Ivy Point church of Christ where Dad is an elder
Sara and her cousin Will dressed up as indians! Afterwards, Uncle Clay and Aunt Laura took Will and Sara on a hike!
Hiking in middle Tennessee!!!!! Sara is still talking about that hike!
Sara is so used to the hot weather in Brazil that it took her a bit getting used to the cold weather

Sara's big gift for Christmas was..........a bike! Same Christmas present I received when I was six!
One of the highlights of our furlough was my visit to Mobile, AL to visit the Inner City church of Christ where I was an evangelist from May 94 until Dec 98. I left so encouraged by the maturity, growth, and the leadership (3 local men lead the congregation now) I give God glory for answering prayer! I always will have a piece of my heart in Mobile!
