Read section 1-6, pages 30 through 31.  Then, try Written Exercises, numbers 1-27 odd, 32,33,35,37.

9/17/08 Written Exercises Page 43, 3-15 odd, 16, 18-20  Also...  I didn't mention this today in class, but I requested that some of you to re-try some problems on returned homeworks and I supplied you with some tips and some hints.  If you see any of these requests as you read over the corrections that I made on your homework, start working on solving these problems and feel free to e-mail me any questions you have about them or, of course ask me in class.  I'm going to ask folks to have these done and turned into me on Monday at the latest (Friday would be much, much better though because we're probably having a test on Monday or Tuesday judging by the rate that we're moving through the material.  The sooner you get these problems into me, the sooner we can work on strengthening your weaknesses which translates to better preparedness for the test.)
