Thanks so much for visiting my digital portfolio.  A little background info on myself:

 

A product of the private school system of the East Bay, I am a graduate of San Francisco State University with a BS in Health Sciences/Education (http://www.sfsu.edu).  My work with children started in high school through volunteer hours spent tutoring elementary aged children in reading and math.  I continued to gain experience through working with abused and at-risk children at a local crisis nursery.  Prior to coming to Calvary Christian Academy, I was working as a Site Director for a before-and-after school program. 

 

 

In my second year here at Calvary, I have been blessed with the opportunity to learn and grow from the different classrooms that I have been priviledged to teach in.  I began the start of the school year with resuming my role as  Third and Fourth Grade teacher; however, due to staffing changes, you may have seen me in various other classrooms such as the Pre-School, middles school science, and high school biology.  While I will now be able to focus my energy on primarily the 1st and 2nd grades, I will still serve as a moderator for both Elementary and ASB Student Councils, and assists with all activities at CCA.

Random fact #1: I love, LOVE, LOVE to laugh, sing when no one is around, and dance like there is no tomorrow.  Your children will soon learn this strange but true fact about their teacher.

 

Random fact #2: Pink is my favorite color.  It may seem to be a constant theme in our classroom for some reason.

 

Random fact #3: Making sure your child is having fun while learning is a BIG BIG BIG thing on my agenda.  I want your child to learn, but I dont want them to be bored or uninterested in what they are learning.  The more fun we make things, I believe, the more your child will retain the information presented to them.
