Summer Reading 2012

All students enrolled in a Pre-AP or AP course in the Bartlesville Public Schools are required to complete a summer reading assignment.  We require our students to read a novel over the summer so they maintain those literary skills necessary for success in a Pre-AP or AP class.

For the novel for your course, you are to complete a close reading before the first day of school; use the essay prompts provided to help guide you in your reading. Click here for assistance with close readings. When school starts, you will TURN NOTHING IN (no assignment, no book), but you will write an In Class Essay during the first 10 days of school.  You  could also be expected to take a comprehension test over the novel.

The essay you will write will be one of the prompts listed for your novel, so use those prompts to prepare.
