Adjunct Professor of Music Education and Music Theory pbailey@fullerton.edu California State University, Fullerton Lecturer in Music Appreciation Los Angeles City College-Heritage College Ready Academy Besides teaching at CSUF, I’m a composer/performer of independent, DIY, art music and I’m also the leader and founder of the paulbaileyensemble (PBE). I currently teach music education and music theory classes at California State University Fullerton and music appreciation courses through Los Angeles City College at Heritage College Ready Academy (Los Angeles Alliance Charter Schools). I have taught at instrumental music at John Marshall High School and Viewpoint School and have been a visiting artist of the Cal Arts Experimental Animation department. I’m a member of the Arroyo Arts Collective and live in Highland Park (a suburb of Los Angeles) with my wife and assorted critters (quadraped and biped). I studied composition and 16th century counterpoint with Lloyd Rodgers and Trombone with Roy Main. i have attended Wichita State University and have bachelor's and master's degrees from California State University Fullerton and because I don't enter competitions I have never won any awards and I also don't stand in lines at taco trucks.
