Curriculum Vitae
Covering Letter
I am currently looking for vacancies in the retail and leisure industries. I have two-and-a-half years experience working in pubs, my roles ranging from bartender to Team Leader and Trainee Manager. I also have experience as a Team Leader in a clothing retail environment.
My strengths are, man management, customer services, advertising, POS and utilising computer software.
I enjoy working with people, im very sociable and strive to provide the highest levels of customer service. I also make a point of trying to instill a similar feeling into my co-workers. I find that by looking after your staff, they tend to look after your business so I attempt to be there for my staff whenever they need to chat about problems or ask for help.
I enjoy creating eye-catching POS displays that lead to increased sales of focused products as well as upselling focus products to my customers.
I am used to working in a target driven environment with emphasis put on maintaining high customer service standards, cleanliness policies that meet EHO and risk assesment targets whilst remaining tight on the expenditure of budgeted staff hours.
I currently work in a large pub/restaurant in the heart of London's financial district. Catering for an increasingly demanding clientelle who want good value and fantastic service. The building is a converted banking hall and as such is a large venue for private functions and corporate bookings aswell as usual day-to-day trading. We have a capacity for 800 customers including our mezzanine level.
I am looking for a new positon because the anti-social hours that are associated with my current job are impacting on my social and home life. I also would like to pursue a career in entertainment based businesses. I am interested in electronics, computer systems and mobile phones. I am now, however, overly biased towards these products and will seek to evaluate every oppertunity that becomes avaliable.
I am seeking a career path with fast upward momentum, such as a company that prefers to promote staff from within as opposed to bringing in management from external sources.
I am also interested in training and dvelopment for myself and myself and I actively seek to motivate people I work with to better themselves.
