It is very much a DIY effort, the design, installation, decoration and equipment selection is all my own. We moved into the house in June 2004 and begun conversion of the room very quickly and have been tweaking the room and equipment ever since. I am very pleased with the performance on offer for the money I have spent. The room also has to serve as my home office, a wallmounted fold-down work station is fixed to the far side wall, and at the rear (not pictured) is my computer work station. The biggest down-side is that it has turned going to the real cinema into a bit of a disappointment, as I (and others) consider the picture and audio of my system to be better than our local VUE multi-screen cinema. My children love-it, although ongoing work and family commitments means it doesn't get as much use as I would like, accasional weekends and evenings only at most.
