Kitchen Tree Composite This is the little Vietnamese "tree" we purchased on the grounds of some hard-to-find District Three catholic church we were tipped off to. It was very cheap, and the string lights we picked up on the street corner had US plugs on them. I don't really know why. That's our kitchen to the left, and our living room to the right, of course. How hard was this picture to take? Well, imagine: it is cobbled rather awkwardly together from five photos, using two light sources--both of which happened to be twinkling and multi-colored holiday decorations. It was not only difficult to capture the component parts, what with waiting until these two trees were more or less synchronized with one another (and the previous exposure). It was also difficult once I started working with those component parts, what with all the times I really screwed the pooch re: the sentence above. If this one looks a little wonky, more than normal at any rate, blame Christmas consumer culture. Living Room Dining View
