Fed Up
Lighting: the main light (camera left) comes from the living room window and gives the catchlight in the eyes. The secondary light is from patio doors and gives a small catchlight in the (camera) right eye. The dual lighting has given her the hair shadows across her face. Camera: I'm really loving the new camera (Canon 5D) because I can take photos in far darker conditions and that lets me a whole lot more flexible. Here it's helped the story-telling aspect of the photo because I was able to take a picture of my niece pushing her tea round her plate without using flash.
Cloths of heaven
Had i the Heavens' embroidered cloths, Enwrought with golden and silver light, The blue and the dim and the dark cloths Of night and light and the half-light, I would spread the cloths under your feet: But I, being poor, have only my dreams; I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams. (W.B. Yeats)
