Operation Santa’s Helpers is an annual community service project Troop 12 has been assisting with for a number of years now. Operation Santa’s Helpers started off many years ago as a Special Olympics effort to support families in need within in the Special Olympics program, but over the years it has grown such that assistance is now provided to many in the local community who may not be associated with Special Olympics. Operation Santa’s Helpers distributes food, clothing and Christmas presents to several hundred needy families in the Charlotte area each year.
Thank you to the scouts and their families who responded in November to the clothing drive. These clothes are a very important part of the Operation Santa’s Helpers program and our efforts to collect clothing each year are very much appreciated by the Operation Santa’s Helpers organizers.
Troop 12 will meet at 8:30 a.m. at St. John Neumann Church, in the lower parking lot in front of the church. We will travel to the Acosta Sales and Marketing office
located @ 2800 Westoak Drive, Charlotte, NC 28217 out toward the airport).
Scouts should wear Class A uniform with the blue Troop 12 T-shirt under their scout shirt. Parents are needed to both drive and participate.
