   Custom made wooden boxes. Hand made, hand painted. Retro design inspired by beverage containers from the 1920's. Your own name or logo. For display, gifts, or trade shows. Great for storing glass bottles: wine, beer, milk, water. Finger holes on the sides for easy lifting. Larger sizes great for toy boxes. I am a grandfather who enjoyed making toy boxes for my grandchildren so much that I’ve started making other boxes. One of the boxes I make is a wine carrying box with a hand painted logo on the front. It is designed for use at the winery to enhance your brand, or to deliver your best wines to case buying customers. The wineries, for whom I have made boxes, use them for display at winemaker’s dinners, competitions, or in the office and tasting room. I can’t make hundreds because I work alone in my basement studio, but I could make several dozen over a period of months. Boxes of this quality cannot be mass produced. I make several sizes of box to fit different needs, but the style and quality are the same. One type of box has a divider in it to hold 12 bottles upright, and one type uses fiber trays to hold 12 bottles on their sides. Most artists concentrate on either the woodwork or the hand painting, but I enjoy the combination. These boxes have five coats of varnish on the outside and three on the inside for a finish that looks almost like furniture. The “breadboard” edged lid is attached with brass plated hinges and it has lid bumpers. There are nylon glides on the bottom of the box as well.
