We are excited in selecting Google as our new host and that we will be able to add  content presentations as quickly as the folks at Google Labs make it available.

Your suggestions are always welcomed.  A third-party Guest Book link is at the bottom of this page while we await the guest book from Google to come to fruition.

Despite being designated as an integral structure in gaining the City of Mannington's designation on the National Historic Landmark Register, the mansion suffered from neglect for numerous years including while it was vacant for four years until its current purchase.

We are pleased to be named on the 2009 list of properties to deserve restoration by the Preservation Alliance of West Virginia.  We are the only privately owned property to be on this prestigious list..

The Estate's Park Grounds, Carriage, and Main House were purchased in 2004. With the aid of private donations, fundraising events, and a team of dedicated local volunteers, we are committed to restoring the Bowers Mansion to its former grandeur including repatrioting more of the contents auctioned in 2000, thus reviving the local economy and preserving an important piece of American history.

To help, sign up to be a volunteer or make a donation. Come help us preserve one of our area’s greatest treasure.   City, County, State, and National Community Support are vital to the success of this preservation and cultural education awareness.

If you have a family special event or idea for a community fund-raiser with which we might be of help, we encourage you to contact us.   If you would like to make a contribution, below your will find a internet secure PayPal icon.
