Throughout the City, many Victorian Homes are tastefully decorated with antiques and collectibles. Spend a little time in the several town gift shops where you may find that special something you've always "needed". Allow a little extra time for browsing Country Prim & Folksy, as it is a full service charming gift shop offering services from bridal registry to gift certificates, all nestled inside the 2nd oldest home in Mannington.  For the antique lover, both memories and treasures can be collected from a large selection of items (ask for Sheila - she knows the entire inventory by heart) at the eclectic Malone's General Store adjacent to Snider's Florist & Gift Shop.  Stop in at the Snider's Florist & Gift Shop to purchase the (2010) newly minted 5th Mannington Commerative Coin, whose proceeds support Manning Main Street, Inc.   On the other side of the florist is the Red Dot Gift Shop.   Opposite the Red Dot on Main Street is Mannington's Fine Jewelry store, the O. H. Murphy Jewelry Store, all nearby the Bowers House.

The Round Barn is a less than ten minute drive to see a true marvel of Mannington's agricultural past.

The 1st Monday each August begins a week-long Mannington District Fair, featuring excellent musical talent and everything else a fine County Fair should offer draws many attendees, including many who also use this festival as a well deserved family reunion.  Mark August 2, 2010 on your calendar now!

October rolls around very shortly thereafter. What better excuse to enjoy some of the nation's finest brilliant fall foliage in the mountains is there than Mannington's Octoberfest?

Also nearby in Fairmont is a must-see antiques, collectibles, and gourmet gift emporium, Located on Route 19 S of 250, the Showalter House at 235 Locust Avenue in Fairmont. The House is now home to the Tin Man Gallery, Castaway Yarn Shop, and more, nestled in with some of Fairmont finest Victorian Homes.  You might also wish to visit the Rider Gift Shop and Pharmacy for seasonal gifts, antiques, and any sundries you might need.  It is located 'across the Million Dollar Bridge' within one block of your left turn immediately after crossing the bridge.
