Our first meeting of the semester will take place this Thursday, August 26th, at 4:30pm in Room 321.  Food will be provided, but BYOD.  We look forward to seeing you all there!

Smrithi, 2010-2011 President, will be resigning since it has recently been finalized that she will be moving to New York to complete her last year of law school.  Vice President Celine Stevens will be entering as President for the remainder of the term, until elections in Spring 2011.

Thanks to everyone who donated money or bought our baked goods, fruits/veggies, and drinks!  We managed to raise $112.92!  A very SPECIAL thanks to Caleb Garcia, Marie Nguyen, Smrithi Mohan, Elizabeth Manso, Tabitha Lee, and Lauren Ferris for baking/purchasing items for the bake sale, and/or sitting at the table to sell.  This wouldn't have been possible without all of you!

APALSA will be hosting a bake sale under the first floor stairs on Thursday, June 24th from noon to 7:00pm.  Make sure to stop by for some delicious baked goods, fresh fruits & veggies, and a drink to go with them!

Congratulations to Marie Nguyen who applied for the emergency fill-in NAPALSA secretary position, and was selected after careful review of the current NAPALSA board.  While traditionally, officers for NAPALSA are elected during the annual conference every year in November, the board faced a unique circumstance this year when the elected secretary resigned.  As secretary, Marie will be responsible for supporting the Board of Directors in the fulfillment of their responsibilities.  The secretary is primarily responsible for media outreach and communications through accurate documentation of NAPALSA's history, activities, and meetings.  In addition, the Secretary serves as Chair of the Election Committee during the Annual Membership Meeting of her term.  The secretary documents compliance of all Officers and Directors.  Marie will also be required to maintain the NAPALSA website.  Congrats again Marie! 

On Saturday, May 1st, at noon in the Student Lounge, APALSA and SBA will be providing "midnight breakfast" to kick off studying for final exams.

We will be providing: Sweet and Sour Chicken, Fried Rice, Lo Mein, Spring Rolls, Cheese Wontons, an assortment of fruit, an assortment of cheeses, and Hawaiian rolls.

Come take a break with us and have some lunch!
