Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (APALSA) University of Arkansas - Little Rock, School of Law Welcome to the homepage of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association, located at the University of Arkansas - Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law. In 2007, the UALR chapter of the National Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (NAPALSA) was founded by David Pyun, a 2010 graduate of Bowen. NAPALSA was founded in 1981 and is the first and oldest national Asian Pacific American law organization. Our organization is a student chapter, whose goals are to:
We continue to help make the transition into law school easier for first-year students, as well as maintain a strong bond amongst existing members. The group offers many opportunities to network with those both within the school and out of the school, participates in various conferences including the annual NAPALSA/NAPABA conference, and arranges guest lectures and career panels for all law students. We have an effective and growing outline bank available to all members through TWEN, as well as meetings where we discuss the best study tips and strategies. To relieve ourselves from the stress of law school, the group arranges lunches and dinners periodically throughout the school year at various Asian-based restaurants all over Little Rock, where group members have a chance to socialize, get advice from classmates and upperclassmen, and just enjoy good Asian food! For any general questions, please feel free to contact us at Bowen.APALSA@gmail.com. Please also join us on Facebook. |
