兒童主日學 Children Sunday School

兒童主日學目前由歐陽瑞琳長老帶領, 學生有25到30位, 年齡從就學前到十年級. 教育的宗旨是讓學員在每次的課程中更認識上帝的話語, 還有與台灣文化的連結.

主日學時間:

- 10:30-11:30 Bible Lesson

2015

高年級: On Jan 4, 2015, We read through a new declaration of Faith--OUR WORLD BELONG TO GOD3, re- committed ourselves as the followers of Christ. They want to be equipped firmly to stand against worldly trends, values and teachings , and decided to memorize scripture as one strategy towards that goal. We will address Battlefield of the mind,4 develop their discriminative taste in the flood of information and discuss Gospel, world view and Missional Christian and Church5.

低年級: We have started a 6 sessions on Jesus published by Presbyterian Ireland (link) Jesus the saviour, healer, pray-er, people person, story teller, victor. Then, in Lenten season we will Meet Jesus, our leader, stories from Mark.(Gather Round Curriculum 2012-3).

音樂: To cultivate Inter-generational and Taiwanese affiliation, we plan to teach the children to sing with Adult members the song--咱當來吟詩. We hope to pair up between generations during practice.

2014

使徒信經: We aim to teach the children Apostles' Creed, and we want to reinforce the teaching from time to time.They were taught the meaning of The Apostles' Creed in January and February 2014, and each created a ppt file of the creed. During lesson, each presented their choice of the pictures, colors, fonts and layouts, sharing their interpretation and emphasis.

After learning the meaning, we then proceed to learn it in Taiwanese as we foresee that we will declare our faith with adult members of church during intergenerational worship services. It means a lot for the family of God to state our faith in one heart and one voice!

We prepared children not to be timid thinking they are young and not ready. ( e.g. We are only 10 years old, Taiwanese is too hard, creed is too difficult...) Prior to Easter April 20, we learned from young Jeremiah who was called in youth and assured by God that " Look, I have put my words in your mouth!" Encouraged by prophet Jeremiah, our Sunday School children lead the Apostles' Creed in Taiwanese on Easter Service 2014.4.20. Please see the attached bulletin 20140420 and witness our fruits via youtube.

2013

Looking back at the first Sunday School Annual Report that I wrote for 2005 Congregational Meeting, I marveled at how God has brought us through the past 10 years. Those children who were in diapers and pacifiers are now singing 'Here I am, Lord', humbly submitting their contrite hearts. Those former-diapered-toddlers are now coaxing baby Elyse, and baby sitting Ian and Naomi. We used to teach them阮是上帝心肝寶貝仔 via cassette tapes, now these children send each other you-tube links and formed a prayerful fellowship physically and digitally. The devoted teachers and parents, the obedient and disciplined children and the prayerful congregation together paint the picture of 'We are the Church', Emmanuel! Be Strong and Take Courage, let's bring the current group of Infants/Preschoolers to sing 'Jehovah's Blessing Abound/耶和華祝福滿滿' and Pass It On for You Raise Me Up.

Evaluation of the Goals set in Jan 27, 2013 Annual Meeting: (*: not achieved)

2013 Common Goals for all age groups that were achieved:

Intergenerational Bond e.g. Greet adult members with warmth; praying for adult members, etc; Vertical Habits and Parent-teacher sharing.

2013 Additional achievements/Growth: Awareness of sin, Seeing God in everyday situations, Pentecost Intergenerational art project, Reformation Day Skit writing, Intergenerational worship , Music ensembles, Scripture Reading in public, Prayerful Fellowship, Praising God with instruments , Music ensembles in Sanctuary and Christmas Carol, Child-journalists project (interview Church adult members).

2014 Goals:

1. 2013 Common Goals for all age groups, and also those that were NOT achieved*:

* Teacher meetings and training (Informative materials were circulated but there was no formal sit-down sessions conducted.)

* Outreach, e.g. Christmas project--Collect old Christmas cards and stamps to support mission.
