I took over the music missionary at church since mid-May, 2010. 

    Tingchi has done such a marvelous job in the past and I personally view music as a very important part of the church worship.  I trembled when I was first in charged. I did not feel qualified directing the Choir.  I especially would like to give thanks for all the encouragement I received and the powerful prayers from brothers and sisters. I know through the ministry that we could all learn and grow together in Christ.

Choir members:

                        Sopranos: Cathrine, Wang-Ching, Duan, Daiann, Ching-Hui, Grace, Lucile.

                        Altos:Mrs. Li, Pei-Hsuan, Jane, Yuting.

                        Tenors:Yu-Jung, Mike, Joshua.

                        Basses:Mu-En, Caleb, and Ray.

                        Choir accompanists: Yuting and Yi-Chen

    June; the Choir had a special get-together/potluck at Pastor Lu’s home to celebrate the end of a year’s devotion.

    July thru mid-August; thanks to Pei-Hsuan for helping with selecting hymns while I was away.

No Choir rehearsals during the months of July and August. Thanks to those families who provided music through singing or instrumental playing.

    September; Choir resumed its regular practices and singing during Service every three-weeks.

Thanks to Mrs. Li for her help for rehearsals such as men’s quartet and smaller group singing.

    October; Joshua fellowship did their first singing of the season. Children had a skit and sang on the Church Reformation Day.

    November; We had a nice group from The Connecticut Taiwanese Church sang on the 12th.  The Choir started a series of one and a half hour rehearsals in preparation for the Christmas singing.

    December; Joshua with Student fellowship and Evergreen fellowship all did a wonderful job singing Christmas Music.  On Christmas worship service, our Sunday school children joined the Choir to sing and celebrate the birth of Jesus.  Some Choir and church members went to The Kathleen Daniel Healthcare Center to do caroling.

    Thanks to Yuting, Jane, Pei-Hsuan, Yi-Chen, Jolin, Megan, Ruby for taking turns to be our pianist for worship services. And it was great having Yu-Jung, Mike, Caleb, Mu-En, Ray, Catherine, Ching-Hui, Jane, Grace, Mrs. Li singing in the small group.

    It's been a wonderful blessing that our young Sunday School children were able to share their musical talent with us all. Special thanks go out to Jean, John, Sabrina, Jasmine, Ethan, Anna and Helen.  Hopefully these children will inspire more to take part in the worship with their musical ability.
