Niku Jaga Japanese beef stew with seasoned spinach over rice. Niku Jaga 1 potato, cut in small pieces 1 cup of thinly sliced beef 1 small onion, diced 1 carrot, sliced 1/4 cup sugar 2 tablespoons mirin 2 tablespoons sake 4 cups of dashi/water 4 tablespoons soy sauce Slice and dice all of the ingredients. Put into the slow cooker. We recommend in this order: potato, beef, carrot, onion. Top with the liquid ingredients. Cook on High for 4ish hours or Low for 10ish hours. (We multiplied the ingredients to fill a large family sized slow cooker.) For the spinach, we simply cooked some frozen leaf spinach with a little soup-base soy (it's lighter than regular soy) until done, then topped with sesame seeds. We served this over rice. I cooked the rice like usual in the rice cooker, but I seasoned it with a few dashes of dashi (the dried form), some dried seaweed broken into bits and a couple shakes of rice vinegar. Very good :) Tiger JAH-A10A - 5.5 cups
There's no Zojirushi within easy reach/google of me with a reasonable price and reasonable peace of mind (I would have liked some form of warranty that I can wrangle and kill the salesman over). The cheapest and most reliable came to about $350 on ebay.sg. This 5.5cup Tiger was $250 (I kind of regretted it later on when I found a 10 Tiger 10 cupper for $260 at another shop but I never knew that another shop existed anyways) and thus I went for it. it comes with the multi function and what looks like fuzzy logic/micom to me and that's good enough. also works as a steamer and a slow cooker ^_^v I like it :D See also: slow cooker vegetarian almond crescent cookie recipe cancer ribbon cookie cutter how to cook roast duck cook county cemeteries medieval cookery homemade chewy chocolate chip cookie recipe how to cook pork shoulder roast in oven what to cook with duck wood cook stove |
