I obtained my PhD at the University of Economics, Prague in June 2009, and I am also a PhD candidate at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (expected to finish by summer 2010). I am going on the job market this year. I will be available for interviews at the Economic Analysis Symposium in Valencia and at the RES PhD Presentation Meeting in London. My preferences are academia, research institutions and central banks. My research interests are: macroeconomics monetary economics applied econometrics transition economies I have been doing my PhD research on the empirics of monetary policy rules and inflation dynamics. At the moment, I am interested in the effect of financial stress on the monetary policy making and the structural changes in inflation dynamics over time. I also work as a research officer at the Institute for Economic Analysis (doing empirical analysis within a project on polarization and conflict) and as an adjunct professor for the Council for International Educational Exchange (CIEE) in Barcelona (teaching exchange students from the US about Spanish and European economy). |
