Project Wombat : Arms Law Critical hits and the d20.

Project Marmot
Spell Law magic system and the d20

Project Tapir:  An attempt at some d20 character classes to use with Wombat and Marmot.

It started a few weeks ago.  We'd been playing the same D&D campaign for 9 months when a sudden realization hit me.  D&D sucks.  Don't get me wrong.  I like the campaign.  I like the players.  I just think the system sucks.

So I've gone and written up some house rule that should make the game more... interesting.

First up:  Project Wombat.  This is a set of rules for using Critical Hits from Rolemaster and Arms Law in a d20 setting.  Basically, how much you hit the target by determines the severity of the crit that you roll on the Arms Law critical hit table.

Next up: Project Marmot.  This is a set of rules for using the Rolemaster class based spell lists in D&D.  It works by replacing all D&D spells and  most class abilities with Spell Law spell lists.

Finally: Project Tapir.  This is an adaption of the generic character class concept put forth in Unearthed Arcana.  The generic classes have been adapted so that they can be better used with Spell Law class based spell lists.
