Welcome to Boone's Dock

It's a small, tasteful collection of evolving ideas.

(usually in the form of poetry)

Seat to Sea
Viewing function in reflection

once again from green velvet

beyond seeing the passing speech linked two threads binding

streets of liberation to lives,

thought and  movement of tides and smiles and biblical loss,

bounty brought back in sachel of language

limited the child held the thought

a smaller boy in whitewater washing its artifacts ceaselessly

beating saline heart in him

the words back from sack of old languages fish skin chronicled

by they who churned that salt surface

with oars long as the living

given by sea, sky and tide’s rise covered flat-plane raising the craft

bringing people closer to that ceaseless

beat of terrestrial drum before anything lost could be missed, forgotten, gone again

in the churning of surface saline by oars

living to shores shining with moonlit hope

Psalm for an American Sunset

Lower

to let us rest

I am waking

seated arched

mind beautiful

shimmering mud

meticulous clipping

for freedom

freedom

rings in feelings

in thoughts

poem and song the setting

prayer turned American verse

psalm for stars

stripes for prisoners

freedom ringing ears

loving beats

beams setting long

reach smoking leaves

fifty and fire

lower

to let us rest.
