Self Summary:
I started working with my father when I was seven years of age. He owns an electrical business in central Delaware and by the age of ten I was wiring houses. I continued doing electrical work every summer until college, when I began applying my hard work ethics to a position as a truck driver in a fraternity brother's family business. After attaining my B.S. in Computer Information Systems I continued my employment until late summer, when my father recognized that I had little room for growth as a truck driver. He made me an offer and once again and I began working for him as an electrician. Having been in this profession since childhood I was anxious to find work in the field of computers, but I was not interested in the same help desk, customer service position I had been doing for my father previously. After submitting many resumes and having several interviews for positions I would eventually turn down, an opportunity arose, where I found myself first in line to apply for a programming position at a start up "dot com". While employed, I am fortunate to have worked with many Fortune 500 companies on emerging technologies in the transaction and security industry. Although it is difficult to get recognition, I pride myself on having worked with and developed many processes that are currently main stream. From here on, the continued history of my career under "the man" in the industry can be found in my resume.
"KISS: Keep It Stupid Simple"
A keen eye will have noticed above I reversed 'Stupid' and 'Simple' from the the standard verbiage. I relate this to modular development and that each piece should be architected and written so the next person can easily understand your work. Regardless of the next persons role someone will always have to follow up with your work. The more complex a project the more pieces it must have.
Opportunities:
I am available on a 'one client at a time' basis for projects to complete or assist in technology solutions. This includes, but is not limited to, system
analysis, proposal, implementation and coding. Currently having worked with clients on projects my rates
vary based on needs and objectives. In my sole proprietorship term I have worked on; security issues both forensic and
prevention, system design and implementation, network design and implementation including cabling,
Active Directory domain implementation with Group Policy Objects and Organizational Units, data recovery, as well as
understanding custom industry applications and offering suggestions to both
clients and client vendors for security related measures. I can be requested for nearly any technology task as well as new items given sufficient time.
My real profession:
I architect, create, write, test and document 'Invisible Engines' using the latest software and hardware technologies.
I can be contacted for work via the Resume page if interested in my services.
