Challenge 2: Write Your Bio and Create a Tribe Logo

Leader for Challenge 2 is the Science Writer ~

Instructions:
I.  Write Your Bio

Instructions: (You can be creative here!)

  1.  Find out the meaning of your medical specialty:
  2. Write 3-5 sentences about yourself. Use Microsoft Word - use 10 point font and either Arial, Tahoma or Comic Sans font. In your bio, please include:
    • Your name (Dr. + your first name)
    • Your age (you can make this up)
    • The Hospital you practice at (again, make this up) and where it is located (anywhere you want it to be!)
    • Where you went to Medical School
    • Why you are so happy to be in this version of Survivor MD
    • What special skills you have that will help your tribe
  3. Use the spell checker!!
  4. Save your bio in the appropriate folder on the computer.
  5. Each doctor in the tribe should copy and paste their bio into the wiki:
    1. Go to wiki
    2. Sign in with your username and password (given by teacher)
    3. Click on the link for your tribe
    4. Click on 'edit this page'
    5. Copy and paste your bio in the wiki.
    6. Click on 'save'.

II.  Create a logo for your tribe using KidPix.
  1. Medical Illustrator: Design a logo in KidPix for your tribe and save it as a jpeg file on your computer

Technologist:
    1. Go to wiki
    2. Sign in with your username and password (given by teacher)
    3. Click on the link for your tribe
    4. Click on 'edit this page'
    5. Delete the words "Tribe Logo" - this is where your logo will go.
    6. Click on the icon that looks like a palm tree
    7. Click on browse...browse for the logo that was created and upload it
    8. Double click on the logo once it appears in the edit box
    9. Click Save
Disease Specialist:
    1. Go to wiki
    2. Sign in with your username and password (given by teacher)
    3. Click on the link for your tribe
    4. Click on 'edit this page'
    5. Write a short description of the challenge using complete sentences in the wiki. Please write in the 3rd person. 3-5 sentences.
The Leader should provide a written explanation of any difficulties encountered with the challenge in the wiki. How did your tribe work as a group??  Did your tribe members have problems with creating bios, the logo, or with using the wiki?? Please describe - 3-5 sentences.
