Challenge 4: Your Gross & Cool Body

LEADER FOR THIS CHALLENGE IS THE TECHNICIAN.

DOCTORS - Are you ready to find out about your specialties? Find the link for your body system and then:
  1. DECIDE WHO WILL ANSWER EACH QUESTION.
  2. YOU MAY USE ANY OF THE WEBSITES LISTED TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS. YOU MAY ALSO USE BOOKS FROM OUR LIBRARY!
  3. USE INDEX CARDS TO WRITE YOUR ANSWERS. PLEASE BE SURE TO COPY  THE QUESTION AT THE TOP OF THE INDEX CARD.
  4.  PLEASE NOTE WHERE YOU GOT YOUR INFORMATION FROM. SOME QUESTIONS REQUIRE PRINTING OUT AN ADDITIONAL WORKSHEET (SEE BELOW) TO PUT ANSWERS IN!
NEXT:
YOUR TRIBE WILL CREATE AN ANIMATED MOVIE WITH XTRANORMAL IN ORDER TO TEACH OTHERS ABOUT YOUR BODY SYSTEM.

  1. Use the storyboard worksheet below to plan out the key points of your storyboard. If you need two pages, print it out again. The Leader will type the information into the storyboard. (DISREGARD THE COLUMN FOR IMAGES, USE THOSE BOXES FOR WRITING YOUR DIALOGUE.
  2. Once your storyboard is approved by your teachers, you may begin shooting your animation in XtraNormal. See your teachers for login information and for an explanation of how XtraNormal works.
  3. When your animation is finished it will be posted in our wiki by Mrs. K. or Mr. A.
  4. Last step:  Your tribe should create a 1- 1.30 minute video using the Flip camcorders to explain the challenge and the difficulties/successes that you encountered. What was great about this challenge?????
  5. You can import your video into Moviemaker. Watch this Moviemaker tutorial to learn how to use it.
  6. The LEADER should work with Mrs. K. and Mr. A. to post the video to the wiki.
